As the 150th anniversary of Dostoyevsky’s novel Crime and Punishment approaches, Agathe Simon created the Crime & Crime cycle in the form of reenactments during two residencies in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 2013 and 2015.
This cycle contains four pieces:
- the multimedia installation Crime & Crime I
- the solo performance Transpositions
- the video performance Crime & Crime II
- the sound piece Raskolnikov
This cycle was developed in 2013 and 2015 during two residencies at the Pushkinskaya-10 Art Center in Saint Petersburg and presented in 2015 at the Museum of Nonconformist Art in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
